CEOMTA: Piano Workshop Reminder

Dear CEOMTA Members,

This  is a reminder about the Benjamin Steinhardt workshop on the pedagogy of Dorothy Taubman, which will be held this coming Friday, February 21st from 10:30 am  to 12:30 pm at the Graves Music recital hall. 

 

Please scan the attached QR code to view an outline of Mr. Steinhardt’s presentation, as well as the the teacher-submitted music examples he will play and discuss during the second half of his workshop. 

Please bring your laptops, smartphones, iPads, or other portable devices to the event so you can view these materials as they are discussed.  Graves does not have a protector to display them, so we are counting on each of you to use your favorite device.

Lecture-Demonstration: Playing Deliciously: The Legacy and Teachings of
Dorothy Taubman

11:35 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Discussion and demonstration of specific music examples supplied by
CEOMTA Teachers.

Teachers, please submit scanned music examples as PDF documents, and write
the following information for each example: composer, title of piece, measure
numbers included, technical or musical problem. Mr. Steinhardt will discuss and
demonstrate possible ways to practice and master each example. I will send him
the examples ahead of time, so please submit them by February 20.
