We are excited to invite you to the Central East District Spring Conference.

When:

We will begin with the Annual Meeting.

Keynote Speaker:  Jennifer Hambrick
Radio Host of 101, WOSU Public Media

and Helping Students Manage Performance Anxiety.

About our speaker: Jennifer Hambrick unites her extensive backgrounds in the arts and media, and her deep roots in Columbus to bring inspiring music to central Ohio. Jennifer performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago before earning a Ph.D. in musicology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and the recipient of both the Eastman School’s prestigious Performer’s Certificate and a Fulbright grant for advanced study in London, England. As a writer and radio producer, Jennifer has interviewed some of the world’s most fascinating people, including Nobel Peace Prize-winning authors, Wolfe Prize-winning mathematicians and many of the world’s foremost classical musicians. Her feature writing has appeared in numerous publications across the country, and has garnered national awards. Teachers and performers alike will benefit from her experience and recent research on performance anxiety.

Finally, all members and prospective members are invited to a luncheon hosted by our Membership Chairperson, Lee Ann Forgrave. Enjoy the opportunity to visit with old friends and meet some new ones. A variety of salads, sandwiches, and non-caffeinated beverages will be served.

The luncheon is free, but we do need an RSVP by March 24.
