Dr. Gulimina Mahamuti Gives Recitals Paying Tribute to Spanish Composer Enrique Granados

As the whole world celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth of Enrique Granados (1867-1916) in 2017, followed by the centenary commemoration of his death in 2016, Dr. Gulimina Mahamuti will be performing recitals paying tribute to Granados, one of the most influential composers of Spain.

On Sunday, February 26, 2017, at 3 pm at First Congregational Church in Mansfield, OH, Dr. Gulimina Mahamuti will be the featured guest performing a solo recital with the highlight of Granados’ monumental work, Cant de les Estrelles (Song of the Stars), a Poem for Piano, Organ and Chorus, under the choral director, Prof. Richard Wink and the First Congregational Church Chancel Choir.

On Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 3:15 pm, Dr. Mahamuti will be performing this monumental work again as the featured soloist at the Choral Arts Society Spring Recital at the Gray Chapel of Ohio Wesleyan University, where she is a part-time Assistant Professor of Piano.
